Signature of Jacques Quinet, mark "Broncz" and inventory number inscribed inside one of the bronze amounts.
Jacques Quinet (1918-1992) is a French designer who studied architecture in Caen before being mobilized during the Second World War. From 1946, he devoted himself exclusively to decoration and interior architecture, opening his office rue Fortuny in Paris and participating in various trade shows in France and abroad. He takes part in the arrangement of liners (La Bourdonnais, Pasteur, France,...) and trains (Corail, first TGV), and it is also to him that we owe the development of the hotel Plaza-Athénée in Paris. At the same time, he works for a private French and international clientele for which he creates pieces of furniture where he favors lacquer, light wood, bronze and leather.
