Important Art Deco vase in frosted pressed-molded glass, “Aux Nymphes” model, created in 1929 by Marius-Ernest Sabino (1878–1961).

The “Aux Nymphes” model ranks among the rarest and most sought-after vase designs in Sabino’s oeuvre. This significant sculptural composition appears very rarely on the market.

Ovoid in shape, the vase features a remarkable decoration consisting of two nude nymphs in high relief, positioned on either side of the body and forming the handles. The two figures, with long, flowing hair, support the wide neck with their outstretched arms.

The lower section is adorned with a rich floral design in relief, consisting of stylized foliage and flowers. The frosted glass is delicately enhanced by a reddish-brown patina, particularly in the hair and certain recesses of the decoration, accentuating the relief and the modeling of the figures.

A significant work from Sabino’s Art Deco period, combining the softness of frosted glass with a particularly sculptural figurative design.

Please note a few slight marks and minor original firing flaws, particularly near the neck, visible in the photographs.
