Ivory Box With Shibayama Inlays
A very beautiful ivory box inlaid with mother-of-pearl and Shibayama-style dyed ivory. This is the name given to these inlaid ivory objects, which are part of the traditional Japanese art of the Meiji period (1868–1912).
The piece is in good condition; there are no missing inlays. There are a few small chips in the ivory around the lower edge of the box.
