17th-century Carved Wooden Salvator Mundi

A 17th-century carved wooden Salvator Mundi on an oak base, adorned with a winged angel's head. The Christ Child holds the orb in his left hand and blesses with his right. This high-quality statue is finely carved and sculpted, and is also appealing for its beautiful patina and the honey color of the wood, which we believe to be linden. It is in excellent condition. Note: the last phalanx of the ring and little fingers of the right hand is missing. Provenance: Southern Germany
