18th-century Softwood Trim Piece
A painted and gilded wood panel. The central motif was carved from solid wood. Within a rectangular cartouche is an oval carving of foliage and scrollwork, surrounded by a gilded border and volutes. The rest of this panel has been painted to resemble marble.
