Large Five-arm Candelabra Lamp In Patinated Bronze – Napoleon III Period, 19th Century

A striking table lamp crafted from an antique five-armed candelabrum, made of bronze with a brown patina, resting on an ornate base of red brecciated marble.

The central shaft consists of a vase shaped like an ancient urn, richly decorated with mascarons, floral garlands, and plant motifs in relief. Two openwork handles with scrollwork, embellished with pendant elements, complete this Neo-Renaissance-inspired composition.

The vase rests on a molded pedestal and supports an openwork central structure, decorated with vertical posts and architectural motifs, from which five scroll-adorned light arms extend. Each arm terminates in a vase-shaped lampshade accompanied by a circular lampshade base.

The piece features an antique patina in shades of brown and copper, enhanced by the more golden hues of certain decorative elements.

The lower section rests on a base of red brecciated marble, featuring beveled sides and successive moldings, accented by a metal border.

This antique candelabrum has been converted into an electric lamp by adding a central socket and an ecru-colored fabric lampshade.

Dated to the second half of the 19th century, in the Neo-Renaissance style, likely from the Napoleon III era.

Appears to be in good overall condition, with signs of wear and minor chipping on the marble base. Electrification was added after the candelabra was originally manufactured.
