It rests on a fluted, stepped basemade of griotte marble
accented by a frieze of leaves incast brass
separating the column from itscircular base.
Fitted as a lamp and topped with anEmpire-style lampshade in mouse-gray cotton
embellished with gold satin ribbonsforming a trellis,
a chocolate-brown soutache trim highlights theedges of the lampshade.
Electrical wiring completely redone;the wire runs along the exterior.
