Neoclassical Coffee Table In Bronze And Brass With Swans, Marble Top – Circa 1960, Jansen?
Oval coffee table made of brass and bronze, resting on four legs topped with animal claws.
The upper portions of the legs are adorned with swans with outstretched wings, whose long, curved necks frame and support the tabletop. This prominent animal motif lends the piece an elegant neoclassical flair.
The lower section of the structure features an openwork shelf with slats, which serves as a crossbar and can also be used as a magazine rack.
The oval tabletop is crafted from heavily veined beige marble, edged with a wide brass border.
A decorative piece from the second half of the 20th century, circa 1960–1970, in the style of neoclassical designs and the work of interior designers such as Maison Jansen.
Striking presence and harmonious proportions.
Please note: a visible previous repair in the center of the marble top, with no crack.
In good overall condition, with slight signs of use and a patina of age on the metal parts.
