Vintage Empire-style Frame
A fine Empire-style frame in stucco and gilded wood, mounted with keys.
The gilding is original, slightly worn but with a lovely patina.
Some scuffs on the side.
It is sold with its original cardboard backing, to which has been glued an 18th-century engraving from the Delamarche firm, famous for its globes, depicting the Copernican system, but is, unfortunately, severely deteriorated.
