"Box Circa 1800, Trompe l'Oeil Nets, Painted Landscape "
Made at the very beginning of the 19th century, still in the style of the Directoire, this small lemon tree box is decorated with painted fillets imitating marquetry and on the lid, in an oval, a landscape animated by walkers. A gilded frieze with small irons elegantly borders the lid. Light scratches otherwise good condition. The decoration is clearly legible.
