Neoclassical carved giltwood frame. It has a plain outer edge followed by a wide cove decorated with a continuous frieze of acanthus leaves. Towards the sight edge, an inner moulding carries a band of small rosettes and a beaded fillet. The strict layout and regular rhythm of the ornament are typical of Italian Neoclassical taste in the early decades of the 19th century.

Condition report: Good condition, with signs of age and wear to the gilding.
