Silver-plated Bronze Tabletop Planter, Louis XV Style
A large oval planter designed as a centerpiece, crafted from silver-plated bronze in the Louis XV Rocaille style, circa 1900. It features rich relief decoration consisting of rocaille motifs, acanthus leaves, seashells, openwork trellises, and bouquets of roses. The planter features two richly ornamented side handles and rests on four legs. It retains its removable brass interior lining. In good overall condition for its age, with patina, minor scratches, and localized wear on the silver plating.
