A superb pair of lidded vases in cobalt blue porcelain, adorned with an elegant matte gold decoration featuring scrollwork and foliage motifs. The Greek-style handles and harmonious lines are inspired by the Louis XVI style and lend the set great elegance.
The vases bear the recessed mark of the Jaget & Pinon manufactory in Tours on the underside of the base, as well as the gold signature “Paul Mathieu – Mostaganem,” indicating that the decorative work was carried out by this workshop.
