Pair Of “le Concert Champêtre” Figurines, Attributed To Meissen—late 19th Century
An important pair of polychrome Saxon porcelain groups, known as the “Le Concert champêtre” model, dating from the late 19th century.
Each group depicts an elegant courtly scene featuring musicians and figures in 18th-century costumes, set against a rocky hilltop richly adorned with flowers.
Exquisitely refined modeling, rich floral relief decoration, and a superb palette of pastel colors accented with gold. Openwork bases with rocaille decoration.
On the underside of the base, a mark of crossed swords accompanied by a star. In very fine presentation condition.
