"empire" Porcelain Set In Sèvres Blue & Gold Gilding
Complete decorative set comprising 3 exceptional pieces of Empire-style porcelain from the first third of the 19th century
Two baluster vases with handles: A remarkable cobalt-blue ground (Bleu de Sèvres / Paris style) enhanced by rich hand-gilded decorations depicting foliage scrolls, floral motifs, and geometric medallion friezes. Gilded square doucine feet and ornately carved handles.
An openwork bowl / Central basket: An elegant openwork basket accented with gilding, resting on a blue-and-gold cylindrical base supported by two white bisque cherubs/putti on a tripod base with gilded claws and moldings.
In good overall condition; some wear to the gold and blue, a very small chip on the bowl, and a few small chips on the vases.Period: 19th century
