Gallé Perfume Bottle Made Of Multilayered Glass – Art Nouveau, Circa 1900

An elegant perfume spray bottle by Gallé, from the Art Nouveau period, crafted from multilayered glass.

The conical bottle features a delicate acid-etched floral design, composed of flowers, buds, foliage, and long stems in shades of orange-red on a nuanced amber-yellow background.

The design is accompanied by the “Gallé” signature, engraved as a cameo in the glass and visible on the lower part of the bottle.

An interesting detail is that the spray bottle also retains its original paper label beneath its base, bearing the inscription “GALLÉ – NANCY-PARIS,” accompanied by a handwritten number. The preservation of this original label is a significant feature of this piece.

The bottle is complemented by its gilded metal mount, featuring a long hose sheathed in braided metal and a spray bulb also covered in a gilded metal mesh.

A fine example of Gallé’s Art Nouveau-period production, combining glassware with floral decoration and an elegant spray mount.
