Napoleon III marquetry perfume box, circa 1860 Elegant blackened wooden box decorated with brass boule marquetry, polychrome inlays and finely chiseled gilt bronze frame Marquetry on the top and on the face of the box The interior, lined with original red silk, contains four cut crystal bottles, decorated in gold with delicate plant garlands. The stoppers, also faceted and enhanced with gilding, are of beautiful finesse. Bottles and stoppers in perfect condition, no chips or wear to the gilding. The lock has its original key, in working order. Very beautiful display object, refined and decorative, combining the elegance of marquetry and the delicacy of crystal.
