Louis XVI-era Provençal "radassier," a three-seater, crafted from painted mulberry wood, retaining a beautiful sea-green patina.

An elegant model featuring crossbars shaped like a gendarme’s hat. The one-piece back posts are topped with olive-shaped finials. The turned front legs are connected by curved crossbars. It offers a generous seat depth of 57 cm, making it particularly comfortable.

This chair, which was once straw-seated, is now upholstered in an antique quilted fabric from the Petitpierre factory in Nantes, featuring a remarkable historical motif printed in red on a light background.

The design depicts an episode from French maritime history: The La Motte-Picquet coming to the aid of a French convoy pursued by Admiral Parker’s English fleet. The composition, which is particularly narrative, unfolds a true historical scene featuring a succession of warships, convoy vessels, maritime scenes, characters, landscapes, and architecture.

Originally used as a bedspread and later adapted for this sofa, this antique textile takes on a new meaning here: the various episodes of the scene are distributed across the three seat cushions and the back cushions. The blue-green piping echoes the patina of the painted mulberry tree.
