Régence armchair in carved walnut, with crowned backrest and arched legs. The seat is finely crafted, adorned with delicate sculptures of flowers and plant motifs, characteristic of the decorative repertoire inspired by the early 18th century. This armchair has removable parts, armrest, seat, and backrests designed to receive interchangeable textile elements. This type of construction, sought after for comfort and flexibility of use, made it possible to change fabrics according to the seasons - lighter fabrics in summer, thicker in winter - or according to the decor of the apartments, a practice attested in old furniture. The curved armrests rest on sculpted supports, and the arched feet, well proportioned.
