Louis XVI Mirror In Wood Gilded With Fine Gold, With A Mercury-coated Mirror Surface, Dating From The 19th Century

An elegant rectangular mirror in wood gilded with fine gold leaf, in the Louis XVI style, dating from the 19th century.

The frame, with its slightly rounded profile, is accented on the inside by a delicate beaded frieze, characteristic of the Louis XVI style.

Beautiful antique gilding with a natural patina and a few subtle signs of age. It retains its original mercury-coated glass, offering the beautiful reflections characteristic of this type of mirror.

Two very small imperfections are visible in the lower part of the mirror, barely noticeable and having no impact on its appearance.
The original back is closed with a thin wooden panel.

A very attractive vertical format, particularly easy to place in an entryway, between two windows, or above a narrow piece of furniture.
