Original light mahogany filing cabinet with a drop-down door, from the Napoleon III period, circa 1870–1880.
It features a beautifully designed front surmounted by a large stepped pediment, adorned in the center with a radiating fan-shaped carved motif.
The upper section opens via three small, independent flaps with straight panels, providing access to three storage compartments.
The central section is closed by a wooden slatted curtain that slides vertically along its side tracks, revealing several storage spaces.
Original lock and key, both functional.
A rare piece due to its narrow proportions and ingenious storage system, which can now be used as a filing cabinet, bookcase, or storage unit.
