Louis XV Style Marquetry Commode With Two Drawers, Dating From The 20th Century.
A very beautiful Louis XV style bombé commode, dating from the 20th century. Its elegant lines, warm veneer, and high-quality gilt bronze ornamentation are captivating.
The front and sides are harmoniously curved, highlighted by rich, finely chiseled rocaille bronze details: drawer pulls, keyhole escutcheons, corner mounts, and feet.
The rosewood and precious wood veneer, arranged in a herringbone pattern, displays beautiful grain patterns and a warm patina.
It is topped with a superb, thick (approximately 4 cm) veined marble slab, lending it a striking presence and a truly distinctive decorative character. The commode opens with two drawers without a central divider, offering ample storage space.
A working key and locks are included. Very good overall condition.
