Large Vintage Car Heater Made Of Brass And Fabric - J. Lefranc Paris - Circa 1920
Large travel heater (foot warmer) for automobiles from the interwar period, semi-oval in shape, made of brass and sheet metal. This large model (50 cm) was specifically designed to be placed on the floor of vintage car interiors, at a time when engine-powered heating was not yet widespread. It allowed passengers to endure long winter journeys.
The upper part, made of cast brass, is richly stamped with the manufacturer’s famous signature: “J. Lefranc Paris” and bears the legal notation “Breveté S.G.D.G.”
