France, Late 18th Century: Handheld Candlestick With Heart-shaped Handle, Bronze

France, late 18th century: a charming handheld candlestick, made entirely of bronze with a medal-like patina, featuring a lovely and touching detail—a heart at the end of its handle. Its bowl, securely screwed into the base, features a simple shape that alternates between convex and concave. There are no welds between the handle and the base, so it’s easy to deduce that it was cast using the lost-wax method.
In very good overall condition; however, please note a tiny crack along the edge of the base (see photo).
