Louis XIV/regency-style Sideboard Made Of Fruitwood, Early 18th Century
Beautiful Louis XIV/Regency-era sideboard, early 18th century, made of waxed and patinated fruitwood.
With two hinged doors on the front, it reveals an interior featuring a fixed shelf. The interior is lined with a clean, Provençal-style fabric in very good condition.
Our sideboard features exquisite molding work on the side panels as well as on the front. These moldings are quite thick and harmoniously crafted.
The front legs are arched and end in clogs.
This piece is in very good condition; the stiles are remarkably thick, a hallmark of a high-quality piece of furniture.
It is topped with a tabletop featuring fine molding around its entire perimeter. As this tabletop is entirely original, it naturally shows signs of wear (see photos)—a testament to the piece’s authenticity.
The piece is sold with its key; the lock works.
