Pair Of Small Regence-louis XV Style Bergère Chairs With Flat Backrests—late 19th–early 20th Century

A charming pair of small Regence-Louis XV-style armchairs in natural waxed beech from the very late 19th—early 20th century (circa 1900)
Each seat rests on four curved legs, each topped with a volute.
The two front legs are richly carved with a shell motif at the top and an acanthus leaf at the bottom, just above the scroll.
The two side rails, as well as the front rail of the seat frame, are heavily scalloped and feature intricate carvings of foliage and shells.
The armrests are covered with a sleeve; both sides of our chairs are made of solid fabric, revealing the entire armrest support.
The backrests are flat; the top of the backrest is straight, and the entire backrest is covered in patterned satin fabric.
The upholstery is firm and comfortable; however, please note that the fabric covering is in a used condition—it shows signs of wear, particularly along the front edge of the seats—but does not require immediate replacement. (This wear is indicated by red arrows; see the last photos.)
The set is embellished with a studded finish.
Beautiful craftsmanship from the late 19th to early 20th century.
