A charming pair of Directoire-style armchairs made of beech wood with a varnished and waxed finish.
Our chairs rest on two spindle-turned front legs and two saber-shaped legs at the back.
The tops of the backrests curve outward and are finished with scrollwork.
The armrests are slightly curved. The armrests themselves are baluster-shaped.
The upholstery is comfortable and in very good condition, as if it had always been in the same home.
The upholstery fabric features a fine-stitched pattern depicting a lovely design of rows of small flowers and interlaced foliage, with each row delineated by thin green lines.
Beautiful craftsmanship from the first half of the 20th century.
