■ Albert Dunington (1860–1928), a British painter born in Lenton (Nottingham) and active in Manchester, became known for his landscapes, coastal scenes, and animal paintings. He exhibited at the Nottingham Castle Museum (Nottingham Society of Artists) as well as at the Manchester City Art Gallery. A comparable composition of this same subject is listed in auction databases under the title “The Clyde Rothesay from Barone Hill.”
