Henri Fugere (1872-1944)

Henri Fugere , is a famous French sculptor and medalist, born September 7, 1872 , in Saint-Mande . 

Son of the sculptor Leon Fugere , he began his apprenticeship atthe School of Fine-Arts in Paris . 
He was taught by the sculptors Jules Cavalier , Louis-Ernest Barrias and Denys Puech . 
From 1893 , he exhibited regularly at the Salon of the Society of French Artists , of which he was finally elected Vice-Presiden . 
In 1927 , he received an Honorable Mention

We find in Henri Fugere , many realistic representations of warriors , soldiers , historical figures , but also works on the theme of work . 
After the War of 1914-1918 , H. Fugère mainly turned to the Art Deco style, then in vogue at that time . 
He died in 1944 , in Paris .
