A genuine antique, this bronze sculpture with a brown patina on an oak base depicts Diana, the Greco-Roman goddess of the moon, hunting, and the wilderness.

As beautiful as she is spirited, this bronze embodies the goddess’s power; alert and cautious, she advances with her bow in hand, knees bent so as not to be spotted, ready to deliver the fatal blow with a well-aimed arrow to her prey.

Usually depicted with a crescent moon, she wears her hair in a Roman-style bun with a knot.

Originally, this Diana was a decorative element on a clock. The base has been adapted to fit her shape and keep her standing upright, much like a bookend or a collectible sculpture.
