Large Drapery Set And Substantial Length Of Toile De Jouy Fabric, Ifta Cluny
An important set of printed cotton furnishing textile decorated with a Toile de Jouy pattern, produced by the French manufactory I.F.T.A., "Cluny" model, dating from the late 20th century (circa 1980). The lot comprises two pieces:
-1 Large ready-made curtain: Fully lined on the reverse with a lightweight white cotton fabric. 2- Length of matching fabric: An uncut and unused piece of the same fabric. This textile retains its original factory sizing (apprêt), preserving its structured texture and pristine original sheen. . Measurements: 280 cm wide × 710 cm long.
This fabric was manufactured by the French company I.F.T.A. (Impression Fine de Textiles d'Ameublement), renowned in the second half of the 20th century for its high-quality textile re-editions. The Cluny pattern perfectly embodies the revival of the "Country Chic" and "Château Style" aesthetics popular during the 1980s.
Very good overall condition. Please note a slight and natural variance in color tone between the two pieces (the curtain is subtly lighter than the unused fabric length), due solely to the laundering of the ready-made curtain. Both textiles are free from tears, mechanical wear, or damp stains, preserving the perfect integrity of the fibers.
