Sulphurized Glass Paperweight / Wig Stand, 19th Century
Transparent blown glass, conical in shape with a flared base, featuring a red, white, and green spiral motif at the center.
Handcrafted, probably from Murano.
Can be used as a wig stand or as a paperweight.
Condition: good overall condition; however, there is at the base a “flake” of glass apparently not bonded to the main body, a defect most likely occurring during production in the cooling phase (see last 2 photos).
