"Antique Shawl In Espolined Silk Muslin"
Precious antique shawl in finely espolined silk muslin, featuring a refined design and of great historical and aesthetic interest. This shawl is intended to be worn folded in two, forming two juxtaposed triangles.
The two overlapping sides reveal a distinctive detail: the espolined border and the fringe of the lower triangle are different and longer compared to those of the upper triangle, creating a subtle interplay of textures and proportions.
Condition: unfortunately, two elements of the main frieze have been “cut away” along one side. A few tiny perforations can also be seen in the central black field.
