Finely Crafted Gilded Metal Lectern, 18th Century, Central Italy
Truly a rare piece of craftsmanship, it was created by an exceptional engraver who skillfully rendered figures such as the triumphant angels serving as a cornice and the small element depicting a stork feeding its brood, located on the front of the base upon which the liturgical book rests. In the center is the Christogram "IHS." The object is in excellent condition and has not been tampered with.
