Mirrored Candlestick, Gilded Wood, 19th Century.
A wall sconce consisting of a single arm for a candle and a decorative mirror. The mirror is framed by a seashell-shaped frame topped with a large seashell. Based on a symmetrical arrangement of ornaments, it features a rollwerk border at the top, adorned with a small flower head. The mirror reflects the light from the lit candle, diffusing it throughout the room.
