Set of 6 Sèvres porcelain dinner plates, 19th century, decorated with fine gold fillet work, each plate bearing an “S” monogram beneath a Comtale crown, crossed with a double “A”; the set was intended for an aristocrat named A, Count of S.
The six plates bear the signature “S68” for Sèvres 1868 and the gold stamp “Sèvres 1868.”
They are in excellent condition; the gilding is very fresh on 5 of the plates. The sixth plate has some wear to the gilding along the border and a hairline crack.
