Early 19th Century Renaissance-style Casket
Elegant and unique casket, crafted in imitation of a Florentine Renaissance urn chest, in finely carved solid walnut. The casket features a curved, opening lid, featuring Carthusian inlay decorations in fruitwood. The rectangular body is carved with geometric and plant motifs, with a family crest in the center of the front, and two gargoyles on the sides. The casket is topped with four feral feet, typical of Renaissance style. This is an object of great taste and splendid craftsmanship, capable of lending a touch of class and antiquity to any space. Florentine manufacture, early 19th century.
