OTTOMAN SABER, SHAMSHIR WITH SCATH

Curved, single-edged steel blade.
Pistol-grip hilt with two riveted light-colored horn scales. Strap loop. Silver crossguard with a straight crossbar, engraved with foliage and ending in two olive-shaped quillons.
Wooden scabbard, covered in shagreen with three silver seams. Two silver fittings, engraved with foliage and trophies of arms; the tip is pierced through; two small engraved bosses in a continuous design, with loop rings.
