In 1884, he moved to Schaerbeek, which he would not leave until 1939. There, he lived successively at ^No. 134 Lambermont Boulevard, ^No. 7 Quinaux Street, ^No. 71 des Ailes Street, and ^No. 27 Avenue Huart Hamoir. He traveled extensively, including to England, Spain, Italy, the Netherlands, and Paris. He gained renown as a sculptor and medalist and, in that capacity, participated in numerous exhibitions. He was a member of the Royal Academy of Belgium. His career was recognized with numerous awards and honors. Considered in Belgium to be an innovator in the art of medal making, he created more than 400 medals. He worked for the Royal Mint of Belgium.Godefroid Devreese collaborated with Victor Horta on the creation of several monuments. Horta designed the plans for the studio that Godefroid Devreese would occupy on Rue des Ailes in Schaerbeek. Height with base: 56 cm
