Medallion Of Devotion Or Constancy. Bronze, Enamel, Glass, Etc. Spanish School, 17th Century

Devotional medallion or medallion of constancy. Bronze, enamel, glass, etc. Spanish school, 17th century.
It has some flaws.
A devotional medallion commonly known as the “medal of constancy” or “medal of constancy in the faith,” or even the “brotherhood insignia” due to its shape. It consists of a triangular frame fitted with a suspension ring and simple enameled elements (juxtaposed “C”s, bands, and plant motifs), as well as two sides, each with a small space in the center—sometimes used to house relics. On one side, one can see the typical reverse design for this type of piece: the IHS, with the second letter surmounted by a Latin cross and three nails, all surrounded by plant motifs and enameled in various colors. The obverse features a painted image (St. Francis of Assisi receiving the stigmata, or the stigmatization of St. Francis of Assisi). This type of devotional medallion appears frequently in Barcelona apprenticeship examinations dating from around 1620–1630, but examples have also been found in Toledo, Córdoba, Seville, and other cities. Experts generally refer to a series of brotherhood plaques or medallions (oval, rectangular, octagonal, or triangular) produced in Spanish workshops between approximately 1620 and 1640 (they also became widespread overseas). Their iconography is generally strongly influenced by the teachings of the Council of Trent.
