Grille. Wrought iron. Spain, 17th century.
Wrought iron grill with vertical bars in the shape of a double pear, decorated with small discs and other simpler vertical ones (flat at the top and bottom, the central one being tubular and inserted into the vertical ones). The bars have a slight vegetal relief, a technique also present in two discs on the sides of the piece. The shape is slightly reminiscent of the works preserved in the Victoria and Albert Museum in London and a confessional grill from the Metropolitan Museum in New York dated 1629 (inv. 57.137.51) and another from the same museum by Francisco González (inv. 56-234.12Ad).
