Pocket watch, Deroches brothers. Gilded metal, enamel, etc. Probably from the late 18th century.
Has some flaws; requires restoration.
A pocket watch whose case features a section of transparent glass and an enamel composition on the back (two ladies, one of whom is playing the harp and holding a sheet of music on a music stand). The white dial features Arabic numerals for the hours, as well as vertical lines and Arabic numerals every 15 minutes, accompanied by the inscription “Deroches.” The movement is delicately decorated and engraved with a serial number and the name “Deroches.” Similar pocket watches signed by the Deroches brothers are known to exist from the second half of the 18th century, as well as examples signed “Frères Deroches & Cìa.” from the 19th century.
