Virgin And Child, 16th–17th-century Oil On Panel, With Illegible Annotations On The Back

A beautiful antique oil painting on panel; this depiction of the Virgin and Child is sure to move you
The artist’s work lends a strong character to this painting, which I personally find very poignant; I particularly admire the way the artist has painted the faces of the Virgin and the Child, rendered with heavily shaded features. 
The Virgin appears to have long blond hair that cascades in a braid over her right shoulder, and the infant Jesus also has blond hair.
The reverse side of this small panel was originally covered with canvas, likely to allow for annotations providing information about the painting; although the writing is visible, it is illegible to me—perhaps modern technical methods would enable an expert to decipher it. 
Please note that this painting is even more beautiful in person, as it is very difficult to capture in a photo due to backlighting and cracked pigments that cause glare.
