Colonel and geographer Pierre Lapie created new maps and globes in the 1820s. These were adapted and modified by Lorrain until the mid-19th century.
This globe dates from the 1840s.
In good overall condition, although this part of the Northern Hemisphere—particularly Europe—is difficult to read in places.
On the base, dealer’s mark: “Bellieni à Metz.”
The globe measures 20 cm in diameter and approximately 47/48 cm in height. Item #5406
