Tarnier Forceps, Model 1877, By Galante, Paris, Complete In Soft Leather Case

Beautiful instrument, nickel-plated steel, a forceps Tarnier model, with the complete traction device and even more: we can also see a double handle ... See, please, our photos of the whole, which is stored, disassembled, in a rolling case, from anthracite grain goatskin, marked by Galante workshop in Paris. This model, whose invention dates back to 1877, was manufactured until the middle of  following century. Interest of the traction device lies in its two connecting rods integrated into forceps, which allow you to exercise in axis of the pelvic canal.
I think our set dates from 1900s.
Impressive quality, having belonged to Doctor Simal, according to a brand in his name.
Good condition, but inside case, some flanges have come off, probably because of emergencies, and have not been replaced.
But, as you can see, instrument is complete.
