Artist: Claude Galle (1759-1815)
A pair of gilded bronze candlesticks from the Empire period, designed by the bronze artist Claude Galle (1759–1815). Resting on a circular base chased with palmettes and flowers, a fluted rosette in the center supports the quiver-shaped shaft, which is tapered and fluted to resemble arrows. The bowl is decorated with leaves. Original lampshades are included. These disassemblable candlesticks consist of eight parts. Presented in their original patina.
