A pair of finely chased and gilt bronze candlesticks, made in Paris in the early 19th century in the Empire style. The cylindrical shaft is decorated with spiral bands of foliate motifs and palmettes, clearly inspired by Trajan's Column. The circular base features acanthus leaves in relief, while the upper bobeche has a beaded rim. Removable nozzles.
Condition report: Good overall condition. Gilding intact. Minor wear consistent with age.
