The pile is rather short, about 5 mm, one of the distinctive features of antique Caucasian rugs.
The central field consists of an endless array of stylized Boteh motifs arranged horizontally and diagonally. This field is framed by a succession of four borders featuring floral motifs.
This rather classic composition, typical of this region of origin, also reveals a more graphic and perfectly organized design, achieving total balance. This refinement is paired with a harmonious palette of plant-based dyes, a skillful blend of brightness and softness.
