Set includes:
- 1 teapot – height 15.50 cm, mouth diameter 10 cm
- 1 sugar bowl – height 12 cm, opening diameter 8.50 cm
- 1 milk jug – height 9 cm
- 6 cups – height 5.80 cm, diameter 8 cm
- 6 saucers, 6 different designs on the saucers – diameter 15 cm
The tableware set, featuring a polychrome design of Alsatian characters, was created by Hansi, the pseudonym of the Alsatian artist Jean-Jacques Waltz (1873–1951).
The Hansi tableware set was offered in 1921 for sale by subscription in the magazine *Les Annales*.
In May 1925, this magazine was still offering this set for sale.
Tea sets and coffee sets, referred to as “tea cabarets” or “coffee cabarets” in the pottery’s publications, were introduced following the dinner service.
These sets are rare.
Hansi’s works can be admired at the museum dedicated to him in Colmar.
Technique—decal transfer.
Condition—No chips, cracks, or restorations.
