Georges Ferrato is a self-taught painter known for his unique approach to painting.
It was the emotional impact of a Provençal landscape that led him to transition from expressionist figuration to abstraction.
His works, often created using mixed media on canvas, evoke diverse landscapes, ranging from the radiant blue of the sky to the vibrant green of nature awakening in spring.
Fabrice Hergott, Director of the Museum of Modern Art of the City of Paris since 2006, wrote a fine preface for him during an exhibition at a Paris gallery.
